16.  JOHN “Jonnie” SUMMERFIELD 5 DUNHAM (Jonathan Robeson 4 James Snowden 3, William R. 2, Joseph 1) born 3 March 1867; died 21 December 1948.  He married 11 March 1885 IDA SINGLETARY daughter of Griffith and Sarah Ann (Dunham) Singletary.  She was born 26 August 1870; died 3 December 1935. [1]  They are buried at Old Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery, White Oak, Bladen County, North Carolina.

   Sarah Ann4 Dunham was the daughter of William James 3 and Sylvia (Allen) Dunham.

                        m. 1 25 April 1913 ZEBULON VANCE MELVIN
                                    He was b. 5 May 1876; d. 27 Feb. 1918
                                    They had one daughter.
                        m. 2 7 January 1922 BENJAMIN FRANKLIN DEVANE
                                    He was b. 1877; d. 1961
                                    They had five children.
                 ii.  SALLIE 6 DUNHAM, b. 1896; d. 1912
35.           iii.  ESSIE 6 DUNHAM, b. 1 October 1900; d. 23 September 1964
                        m. 24 March 1935 ALEXANDER ROWLAND GRAHAM
                                    He was born13 July 1892
                                    They had six children.
                iv.  JAMES HARRY 6 DUNHAM, b. 22 November1904; 8 April 1988. 
                                    In 1984 he was of record in Tar Heel, NC.  He was unmarried.
                 v.  JONATHAN ROBESON 6 DUNHAM, b. 24 October 1909; d 18 January 1981
                                    He was unmarried.
