  7.  BENJAMIN 2 SINGLETARY (Richard 1 Singletary) born in Haverhill, Massachusetts 4 April 1656. [1]   He married in Haverhill, Essex Co., MA 4 April 1678 MARY STOCKBRIDGE.  [2]  She was daughter of John and Mary (--) Stockbridge of Haverhill. [3]

   Benjamin 2 Singletary received a warrant dated 9 July 1699 for 300 acres in South Carolina. [4] He was probably already living at the settlement at Red Bank when he received this warrant for land.

                                m. JOHN 3 DUNHAM * by 1713 in St. Thomas St. Denis Parish, SC

This John Dunham had land in 1708 adjacent to Joseph Singletary and Richard Singletary in 1710, and near Jonathan Singletary in 1733.

The will of John Dunham in Charleston, SC was dated 28 April 1725 and proved 4 February 1727/8.  He names four children, but research done by Rev.    James T. Dunnam shows that there was a fifth child named Robert Dunham born in November 1726.
