Looking for information on Joseph Dunham of St George, NB, Canada. I have him... - being given credit in the general store at calais, ME in 1790 (from annals of calais maine and St Stephen, etc.) - enlisting in kings new brunswick regiment in 1793 - purchasing land in St George, NB in 1803 - Selling land to William H. Dunham in the early 1830s. - listed as constable in St George Parish in 1817. I believe this Joseph Dunham may be the son of Elijah Dunham of Deer Isle. I am wondering whether it is possible that the joseph dunham referenced above all the same joseph dunham so looking for any information that might give an indication of the age of this person. An update to my previous post : I found records of a son of Joseph Dunham - Joseph Henry Dunham in MN, USA - that indicate that Joseph Dunham of St George, NB, Canada was born on Long Island in NY. In addition, I found a Dunham descendant on Deer Isle in Maine and paid for a y-dna test. It turn out he is neither a Deacon John Dunham or Jonathan Singletary Dunham descendent. We are now searching for another male in this line to confirm this result. jeff |
