THIRD GENERATION IN AMERICA

350. Shubael 5 Dunham (Cornelius 4 Jonathan 3,2 John 1) born 14 November 1723[1] ; died 12 December 1795. He married LYDIA CHASE, daughter of Joseph 3 and Lydia (Coffin) Chase. [2] She was born 1726; died 29 October 1806. Both are buried in Lambert’s Cove Cemetery, Tisbury, Dukes Co. MA.

Joseph 3 Chase was son of Isaac 2, Thomas 1 Cahse. [Banks 3:73-4]

Shubael Dunham Res. Edgartown, was Master Mariner. Moved to Tisbury in 1762.

After Minnie’s death Thomas remarried. My grandmother said his 2nd wife’s family had a traveling circus that they traveled with. They ended up in ID. No children from this marriage. 2nd wife was Mary (unknown) with whom he is listed in the 1920 ID census.
