He Graduated from the University of Omaha and the Squadron Officers, and Command and Staff Schools. He earned his pilot's wings from Williams AFB, AZ. He honorably served 20 years in the USAF. In 1972, Jim became Commander of the 9th Air Refueling Squadron, Beale AFB, CA. Among his awards are the Air Medal for Meritorious Achievement while participating in aerial flight, and the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.

E, 31st Maine, Infantry, 11 Mar 1864 and was mustered in the same day. He was a Corporal when he was Mustered Out, 15 Jul 1865. The Regiment left Maine 18 April 1864 and was attached to the 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division, IX Corps, Army of the Potomac. The 31st commenced active campaigning on 4 May and took its 1st casualties 2 days later. By 12 June it was engaged in the Siege of Petersburg, VA until the end of the War.

James Gilmore Dunham James was the son of Percy Gilmore Dunham and Margaret Evelyn Gallagher. He Graduated from the University of Omaha and the Squadron Officers, and Command and Staff Schools. He earned his pilot's wings from Williams AFB, AZ. He honorably served 20 years in the USAF. In 1972, Jim became Commander of the 9th Air Refueling Squadron, Beale AFB, CA.
